Faurecia and the Council for Youth Development of Bartholomew County are hosting an International Youth Day fair to celebrate International Youth Day's 2018 them 'Safe Spaces for Youth' on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event, held at Columbus East High School, highlights the 2018 United Nations International Youth Day. The theme this year, Safe Spaces for Youth, reminds us that when youth have safe spaces to engage, they become effective contributors to the world around them.
During the event, families can earn a special prize by completing the International Youth Day passport. The event includes interactive stations where families can build a first aid kit, make an ID card, participate in a photo booth and get up close to a firetruck as part of the "Touch A Truck" experience. Families will also have the opportunity to send Shine On International Youth Day postcards and play kid friendly games.
