teen Mental Health First Aid

Teen Mental Health First Aid Training for Teens (ages 15-18)
The Teen Mental Health First Aid™ (tMHFA) program is designed for teens in grades 10-12 (ages 15-18). It teaches them how to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use issues in themselves, their friends, and peers. The training is conducted by certified local community leaders.
By participating in tMHFA, you will gain the ability to provide support to yourself, your friends, and your peers. This evidence-based program is offered free of charge for individuals who live, work, or volunteer in Bartholomew County, thanks to a generous grant from FSSA DMHA. The regular value of this course is $170.
To become certified in tMHFA, each teen must attend and complete all three 90-minute sessions. The sessions will be held on Wednesday, October 18th, Wednesday, October 25th, and Wednesday, November 1st, 2023. They will run from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the Red Room at the Bartholomew County Public Library.
