Why Take Teen Mental Health First Aid?

Teen Mental Health First Aid™ (tMHFA) is for teens in grades 9-12, and teaches how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in themselves, their friends, and peers. This program is taught by local community leaders that have been certified to teach the program.

With tMHFA, you will have the power to help. You will be able to support yourself, your friends and your peers. You will also:

  • earn service learning hours

  • receive a certificate of completion

  • join a community of like-minded teens

  • experience a judgment-free zone

  • add accomplishments to your resume
